Terra will occasionally appear at the start of battle and Break 6 unoccupied enemy tiles at random. Reva will appear once when the player is about to be killed, absorbing the killing blow and giving 4 stacks of 100 Health to the player, totaling 400 Health. The artifact is not actually awarded until the end of the next encounter. Shiso will appear at each subsequent camp, giving the player an extra artifact. Hazel will occasionally appear at the start of battle and summon a gun turret facing the enemy side of the field if there is a Hostage present, she may grant the Hostage 90 Shield instead of summoning the turret. ![]() This buff is applied by launching a note that hits the tile the player is on this can be "dodged" by quickly moving away, and the buff will disappear after a short period if the player doesn't walk back on the tile. Violette will occasionally appear at the start of battle and buff the player, giving them 40 Shield, 3 Spell Power, and increasing their Max Mana by 1 for the duration of the battle. Selicy will occasionally appear at the start of battle to slash three random enemies for 10 damage and apply 1 stack of Fragile to each. Gunner will appear at camps and toss a potion that heals an additional 80 health after the campfire extinguishes. Saffron will occasionally appear at the start of battle, casting Ragnarok to deal 200 damage to a random enemy and temporarily breaking the tile underneath it. Bosses can also spare the player if the player is defeated, which is treated the same as the player having spared them. The number of boss executions and boss spares determine the ending of the run. For the rewards screen of an executed boss, a temporary boost of 15 Bonus Luck is applied. Executed bosses always drop an Epic or higher rarity spell and a Rare or higher artifact. Sparing a boss will allow for their character-specific assist for the remainder of the run and grants a 400 Health orb, but gives up the rewards from slaying the boss. Once defeated, bosses may be shown mercy and spared, or they may be executed. ![]()
